Error Handling when ICommand fails

Jul 24, 2010 at 3:08 PM

I try to find a way for handeling errors when using Commands (classic Binding & event style).

Would it be ok to surround _execute() in RelayCommand with try catch and add a third constructor with an Action callback for a error handler? The only problem with this approach is, that i want the error handler in my View class (i just need it for displaying - no rollback logic or so - just some GUI vodoo). Would it be possible to add a Attached property for error handling so that i can provide a error handler (at the View)?

PS: MVVM Light Toolkit is a greate framework!!! I like the light approach!!!
